År 1963 organiserade han en marsch till huvudstaden Washington - marschen samlade mer än 200 000 deltagare, som krävde lika rättigheter för svarta som för vita. Han höll ett tal, "I have a dream".
Min favoritdel är följande: “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
